New laboratory of photovoltaic systems
As part of cooperation with Edison Energia Sp. z o. o., a modern laboratory of photovoltaic systems was established at the Department of Fundamentals of Engineering and Power Engineering. The company has built two shelters, on which photovoltaic panels with a unit capacity of 310 W are placed. 5 pieces were installed on each of the shelters. photovoltaic panels. The shelters are exposed to the south. The total installed capacity of the resulting photovoltaic system is 3.1 kW. Students of Renewable Energy Technologies will be educated as part of the installation of photovoltaic panels on two types of roofs: metal roof tiles and ceramic roof tiles. In addition, students will work on examining the quality and efficiency of a photovoltaic installation. This will raise the qualifications of the graduates of Renewable Energy Technologies.
Construction work began in early June. The first stage was the design and preparation stage of the place where the shelters with photovoltaic panels will be built. At a later stage, the substrate was prepared, incl. trenching the area, preparing formwork. Then, concrete footings were poured, on which the supporting structure and the entire photovoltaic installation were built. The shelters with photovoltaic panels were built at building number 21, from the side of Nowoursynowska Street.
